How developed is DEI in your organisation?

How developed is DEI in your organisation? 12 августа 2022, 12:42 / AIMS International colleagues gather in Bucharest for EMEA meeting focused on operational excellence and ESG best practices

Today DEI is in the mindset of most dynamic organisations. Implementing a DEI program – DEI stands for diversity, equity, and inclusion – has its challenges because the practice is so broad. The country’s environment, local culture, and statutory environment must also be considered as relevant factors. But the biggest challenge of DEI is not in implementing the policy in the company but in making it part of the culture, and engaging all its employees. A DEI program without a strong culture is like a body without a soul. Being a diverse, equitable, and inclusive company impacts the workforce, workplace, communities, and the marketplace. It offers stimulating and challenging environments for its employees, improves creativity and innovation by incorporating people with diverse ideas, outlooks, and skills, and helps them respond more dynamically to market changes. At AIMS International, we approach DEI from eight different dimensions to help companies design their own strategy by promoting policies, initiatives, and concrete actions.

Why board services are vital to improving company performance

Why board services are vital to improving company performance 12 августа 2022, 12:27 / AIMS International colleagues gather in Bucharest for EMEA meeting focused on operational excellence and ESG best practices

We all know that success isn’t easy. The only thing that’s harder, perhaps, is maintaining your position at the top once you’re there. And that’s as true for companies as it is for individuals. The fate of any company rests on human performance: individuals’ understanding of the business context, bright ideas and competitive strategies, the sense of what opportunities to pursue when, and the leadership and culture to bring the best out in everyone from the board on down. As AIMS International consultants, our role is to help client companies FIND&GROW their leaders. Board Services are for many of my colleagues and for me personally a particularly interesting focus area. Operating in over 50 countries as we do, we run into differing corporate governance codes and national regulations, as well as levels of development. We naturally take these differences into account and adjust our approach, but, at the same time, many challenges that businesses face are the same the world over. Governance and the interaction between owners, the CEO, non-executive and executive board members are always crucial for the success of companies, whether these functions are well developed or not.

Business opportunities sprouting from Africa’s lush landscape

Business opportunities sprouting from Africa’s lush landscape 12 августа 2022, 12:09 / AIMS International colleagues gather in Bucharest for EMEA meeting focused on operational excellence and ESG best practices

In the lush, large African plains and savannahs adorned by the heights of the Maluti mountains, stretched north by the Okavango delta and its wildlife inhabitants who roam up to the pride lands of the Masai Mara, up the Serengeti to the Nile, lies a vibrant, youthful, and booming economy that is over 1,4 billion opportunities. In one of AIMS International’s new webinar series titled eyeAfrica, specialist and expert in logistics and supply chain Mr Sylvain Kluba notes that the continent’s high population growth boasts a swelling middle class, with increased spending power and upgraded lifestyles. It is also encouraging for business that seven of the fastest growing economies are in Africa.

The “Defence and Security Industry” group, led from France by Nicolas J. Rogier, Managing Partner France (as part of the “Industry” GP led by Grégoire Depeursinge, Managing Partner Switzerland), aims to provide recruitment and talent management services to manufacturers in the sector. This group brings together 10 of our top consultants, all defence and security experts from several AIMS countries (France, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark,  the UK), some of whom have themselves served in their respective armed forces.

The extremely tense geopolitical situation, particularly in Central Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean, has recently led to a renewed interest on the part of many European countries in their defence capabilities, and hence in the development of industrial capacities for the marketing of weapons systems, munitions, maintenance and logistics.

AIMS France will be a partner of the EUROSATORY exhibition in June 2024 as a participant in a series of conferences on the theme of “Recruitment and Retention of Talent”.
